First patent on a car

The fuel-powered car is one of the most important inventions of modern history. The first gas-powered car patent was awarded to Karl Benz in 1866. The inventor of the internal combustible engine with a chassis is known as the father of the automobile industry. Benz & Co. became the largest automobile industry in 1900 with their three-wheel Benz Patent number 37435 Motor Car, model no. 1. Today, the automobile industry owns more than 10,000 patents worldwide which took the vehicles to a level the inventors most likely never dreamed.
